Delivery Charges

Our standard delivery charge to UK mainland is just £5.95 (inc. VAT), regardless of the number of items purchased.

See below for increased delivery charges to other parts of the UK that we are able to deliver to.

Gift vouchers, when purchased on their own, carry a delivery charge of just £1.00 (inc. VAT). 

We aim to pick all orders within 48 hours of us receiving your order, Monday to Friday, subject to stock availability. Please allow 3-5 working days for delivery, however when there is a Bank Holiday these timings may be a little longer.

Where stock levels are low and have to be replenished, please allow 10-14 days. You will be advised should this be the case. All orders are delivered without undue delay and within 30 days.

Delivery Timeframe for orders WITH bare root plants

Please be advised that despatch of bare root plants begins mid-November, once total dormancy has been achieved, and generally spans until mid-April. Any orders that contain bare root plants, placed outside of the planting season, are considered Pre-orders and will not be despatched until the bare root plants are ready*. Placing your order prior to the season, however, will guarantee the swift delivery of plants once the season has commenced. Monies are taken from your account at the time of the completion of the pre-order online. Please see our terms and conditions for further information.

* For orders that contain a mix of bare root plants, and other lines, placed out of the planting season, the order will only be despatched in its entirety from the start of the season. Should you require other lines to the bare root plants immediately, and before the planting season, then these should be placed as a separate order for despatch within the normal time period.

Non-standard UK Mainland Addresses - Increased Delivery Charges & Restrictions

Delivery to non-standard UK mainland addresses (such as certain areas of the Scottish highlands and off shore islands) carry increased delivery charges, as passed on to us by our carriers. Please use the below table as a reference point. Please feel free to contact us if you are unsure whether we can deliver to you.

Unfortunately, we cannot facilitate delivery to international addresses, due to the nature of the products sold.

Returning Goods

In line with Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you are entitled to cancel your order for goods covered by cancellation rights (plants received are excluded from cancellation rights*) provided that you exercise your right to cancel no longer than 14 days after you receive your order.

*Plants are exempt from cancellation rights due to them being liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. However, we will address any concerns that you have with regards to plant welfare and always take a case-by-case approach to such. It is important that issues relating to plants are raised as soon as possible and no later than 7 days from receipt of the plants. Our plant welfare and loss replacement policy provides clarification on our approach to addressing plant issues.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to do so within the cancellation period. You can use our cancellation form (downloadable from http://www.treesandhedging.co.uk/cancellation), or use any of the following methods of contact:

If you opt to cancel, you should return the goods to us at your cost within 14 days of stating your desire to cancel. We will reimburse the amount in relation to goods which are covered by cancellation rights, including the cost of delivery (except for any supplementary costs if you chose any delivery method other than our standard and least expensive method of delivery).

Should you be unable to arrange for the goods to be returned yourself, we can arrange for them to be collected. The cost of the collection will be deducted from the reimbursement.

The reimbursement will be made using the same means of payment that was used for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

The reimbursement will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the returned goods are received by us or 14 days after the day we are provided with evidence that the goods have been returned to us. If no goods were dispatched, the reimbursement will be made no later than 14 days after we were informed of your decision to cancel. We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of goods returned to us, if the loss is as a result of unnecessary handling by you.

Receiving Incorrect Items

In the rare event that we make an error that results in you receiving incorrect plants or products, we will replace the order either in its entirety, or in part, depending on your requirement. Alternatively, we will make arrangements with you for the item(s) to be returned at our expense and will make a full refund upon receipt. All plant queries must be raised with us as soon as possible and no later than 7 days from receipt of the plants. We cannot accept returns beyond this point due to plant welfare.
